Neil Myerson Solicitors were a provincial law firm with big city aspirations. They focused on their local market with a traditional look and feel but this wasn’t representative of who they truly were, the impact they were looking to make or where they were heading as a firm.
The starting point was a disparate brand identity – they were using two different logos, an uninspiring colour palette and a jumbled mix of literature styles.
They wanted a completely fresh look to enable them to stand out in a competitive marketplace and against competitors whose traditional, cautious appearance was typical of the regional legal market at the time.
They needed a completely new identity and proposition to retain and attract new clients whilst ensuring they were in a position for their planned rapid, organic growth.
In order to position Myerson as a leading commercial and private law firm for businesses and high net worth individuals, we needed to create revised brand proposition and identity that reflected this standing.
Following external research and a comprehensive strategic review, we proposed the renaming of the firm – dropping the founders name to the more memorable and direct ‘Myerson’.
We then delivered a complete rebrand that features a stunning hero icon at its core that was based on a bold, bright colour scheme and the ‘M’ from Myerson and when matched with a modern type family, Myerson was born.
Applying the new brand to a wide range of physical materials and online media and also across a number of locations was both complex and time-critical, yet this brave departure for a traditional small town law firm [at the time] was widely commended and the new brand encompassed every touch point throughout the client journey.
The complex and detailed rebranding process took the existing appearance of small town solicitors and repositioned Myerson as a leading, modern law firm.
A major investment programme saw the client grow considerably – both in terms of partners and the team and also through major client wins brought about through the greater exposure and more modern approach to their marketing activities.
By completing a comprehensive brand audit process we addressed the large number of client touch points and as a result, the consistent application of the brand ensured continued large scale growth and multiple industry and marketing award wins for the client.
